Borges Late Harvest Dão 2023 Highlighted in Fugas of Público
Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges has once again been highlighted in the national press, with Borges Late Harvest Dão 2023 achieving an excellent score of 93 points in Fugas of Público newspaper, a recognition of great relevance for the brand and for the Dão region.
In the tasting note, journalist and wine critic Ana Isabel Pereira highlights:
“For 15 years Borges had not produced this late harvest - and previously the wine was made from Encruzado. Dehydrated apricot, citrus peel, quince paste and a botrytised aroma. Sweet to the right degree (80 grams of sugar per litre) with vibrant acidity, it is a balanced, engaging wine that offers a ‘dry’ finish, which ‘cleans’ the sweetness of the tasting and makes it more dynamic. Delicate and fresh, it is also a gastronomic late harvest wine. Perfect to accompany the burnt milk custard of the Christmas season.”
