From the first estate acquired by the Borges brothers in 1904, this wine has its roots in the traditions that made the region famous.

Grape Varieties | Vinha Velhas (20%), Touriga-Nacional (20%), Tinta-Roriz (20%), Touriga Francesa (15%), Tinta Barroca (15%), Tinto Cão (5%) and Sousão (5%).

Tasting Notes

Appearance | Intense ruby colour.
Aroma | The nose is vibrant and appealing, with a strong presence of ripe black fruit, particularly plum, balanced by elegant floral hints of orange blossom and delicate citrus undertones. As it opens in the glass, gentle vanilla nuances emerge alongside subtle layers of complexity from barrel ageing.
Taste | On the palate, it shows body and intensity, with a well-defined structure and smooth, rounded tannins. A balanced acidity brings freshness, enhancing the flavours of fresh red fruit. Subtle smoky and spicy notes from French oak ageing add depth. The finish is long, persistent, and elegant.
