This is the second edition of the Lello Experiences collection, which revisits significant episodes in the history of the Lello family at Borges. Entitled "The Wisdom of Time," the illustration takes us back to the 1940s and evokes the last white wine made by Carlos Lello, produced using a fermentation process with skin contact. This profile was not continued, with the fermentation of white wines from that time onward being done by separating the solid parts of the grape, but it remained as a technical memory of Borges. Today, it is recovered in this skin contact edition, inspired by ancestral practices and reinterpreted with current knowledge. A wine that celebrates time not as waiting, but as recreation.

Tasting Notes

Appearance | Clear, with a lively straw-yellow colour.
Aroma | An intense, expressive and distinctive aroma, shaped by the skin-contact maceration process. Fresh citrus notes stand out, surrounded by nuances of mint and delicate hints of anise, resulting in a fresh, complex and distinctive aromatic profile.
Taste | On the palate, it is dry, structured and distinctive, with intense acidity that provides freshness and tension. Prolonged contact with the skins results in a tannic presence that is unusual in a white wine, adding texture, structure and character. The overall profile is enveloping and persistent, reviving an ancestral skin-contact winemaking practice and reinterpreting it through contemporary winemaking knowledge in a fresh, structured and distinctive expression.
